After Care / Study Hall

St. Thomas provides families the opportunity to have their children attend After Care from the child’s dismissal time until 6 p.m. Students participating in this extended care are billed hourly. There is no need for pre-registration for extended care. If a child is not picked up within 15 minutes of his/her dismissal time, he/she will be sent to After Care or Study Hall. Parents are then required to park and come in the school to pick-up their child.

Early Care (Exploratorium)

As a service to our working parents, we offer the option of early drop-off. Parents may bring students to school as early as 7:30 a.m. free of charge. Early Care, also called Exploratorium, is available to all students from preschool through 5th grade with an average weekly attendance that varies from 30-40 students. Many parents have offered positive feedback about the Exploratorium as children have fun and are engaged in different challenges and activities. Not only is this a time for children who arrive early to school to wait safely for their class to begin, they benefit by being exposed to STEAM principles, building ideas, making real-world connections, exploring variables and so much more!

Students are escorted to their classrooms at the appropriate time to begin their day.

Extended care consists of either Study Hall for students in grades 2 to 5, or supervised play for the younger students.

Junior preschoolers staying for extended care have lunch in their classrooms and are supervised by their teachers. All other students participate after their dismissal times.
