Giving

Why Give?

There are many worthwhile and exciting opportunities available for giving of your time, talent, and treasure. And when you get involved, we know you will enjoy becoming an important part of our family.
St. Thomas Episcopal Parish Church and School must look to charitable contributions from parents, grandparents, alumni, parishioners, foundations, employees, and friends to fulfill its mission and to be the best organization for each of our constituencies.

The Annual Giving  initiative provides an opportunity to bridge the gap between tuition collected and what it actually costs to educate each child. Donations go directly into the school operating budget and help provide for items such as core programs, building maintenance, and faculty salaries and benefits. A successful campaign depends on the participation from every member of the school community. These important funds collected provide the dollars to supplement the yearly budget and help make St. Thomas the strong and excellent school it is today, while helping to maintain a reasonable tuition.

A 100% tax deductable gift to the Annual Giving Campaign, at any level, helps enhance school programs and facilities, while directly investing in a child’s future.

Our Capital Campaign, a 20-year initiative of three phases (we are now in Phase III), is focused on improving our buildings and outdoor facilities. A successful campaign will get us closer to reaching our goal of having the best buildings for our campus with beautiful landscaping and exceptional security.

Along with the excitement over new and improved outdoor facilities is the commitment to long-term institutional sustainability.

The St. Thomas Episcopal Church and School Endowment Fund is focused on our future. As with other private schools which aspire to excellence, a strong endowment at St. Thomas is fundamental. It also lends a vital new dimension to our long-term sustainability. Endowment is best defined as a permanent asset which generates annual income to support the overall mission. At St. Thomas School, endowment funds will help strengthen our five key operating areas: faculty, educational programs, special student projects, financial assistance, and campus plant and facilities.
