St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School remains strong and resilient as we prepare to reopen school on Monday, August 24, 2020.
This living blueprint for “Re-Opening the School Together” is the result of months of extensive research as well as focused, strategic conversations among the school’s faculty, staff, Board, Vestry, and COVID-19 task forces. At the heart of the School’s preparations has been the health and safety of our staff, students, and community. The protocol and procedures outlined in this blueprint ensure that we are ready and prepared to deliver on our promise of excellence under various situations and numerous challenging circumstances.
Leading our efforts to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus in our community is a special St. Thomas COVID Medical Team that will ensure we incorporate the latest best practices as set forth by health and governmental officials on all federal, state, and local levels. Should we find ourselves needing to pivot, we will do so with data-driven information and clear guidance. Please note that exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present. While we have taken extensive measures to reduce risk on campus, we cannot
guarantee that people on campus will not be exposed.
We look forward to the day when our vibrant campus hums again with lively conversations among happy families. Remaining patient and nimble in the midst of constant change will involve the collective and cooperative efforts of the entire school community. To know better, it takes St. Thomas. To be better, it will take all of us.
