St. Thomas builds a foundation for children to become better learners, better people, and better leaders. Like most independent schools, St. Thomas relies on financial support beyond tuition to deliver outstanding programs to our students. These are the years that matter most and your gifts to Annual Giving have an immediate impact that will elevate our school community and benefit each child.
Annual Giving is a year-long drive that runs from October - May. Gifts of every size are important and go to work immediately in the current school year.
We are grateful in your investment in our children and rely on charitable contributions from parents, grandparents, alumni, parishioners, foundations, employees, and friends to fulfill its mission and to be the best organization for each of our constituencies.
Gifts to Annual Giving reach all corners of our campus and support nearly every aspect of daily life in this community. Your philanthropy benefits faculty, financial aid, academic programs, the arts, athletics, community service, student leadership, and our lovely campus.
St. Thomas is a Section 501(c)3 nonprofit and your gift may qualify as a charitable deduction for federal income tax purposes. Donors are advised to consult with their tax adviser or the IRS to determine whether a contribution is deductible.
Our Capital Campaign is a targeted fundraising effort that takes place over a denied period of time and provides funds for brick-and-mortar building projects-new facilities or major renovations-and sometimes the endowment as well. Over the past 20 years, St. Thomas has been successful in raising the funds necessary through Capital Campaigns improving our buildings and outdoor facilities. Past successful Capital Campaigns have aided in reaching our goal of having the best facilities, grounds and security.
The St. Thomas Episcopal School Endowment Fund is focused on our future. As with most private schools which aspire to excellence, a strong endowment at St. Thomas is fundamental to meet the future demands of educating our youth by solidifying our long-term sustainability. The Endowment is best defined as a permanent asset which generates annual income to support the overall mission without invading the principal. At St. Thomas School, endowment funds help strengthen our five key operating areas: faculty, educational programs, special student projects, financial assistance, and campus plant and facilities.
