Service Learning at ST: Grade 2

Service Learning at ST: Grade 2
Avery Kiefer

At St. Thomas, service is more than an act of kindness—it’s an integral part of our students’ learning journey and Episcopal values. We are excited to introduce Service Learning at ST, a new video series that showcases how each grade level engages in meaningful service projects, connecting classroom learning with real-world impact. Through these videos, you'll hear from students at every grade level about what service means to them, how it shapes their education, and how it fosters a lifelong passion for giving back.

We’re kicking off the series with Grade 2, where students learn the power of compassion through their service projects. Watch the video below where 2nd Grade Level Lead Teacher, Mrs. Carbajales, explains these projects, and students reflect on their experiences, share what they’ve learned, and explain how their efforts make a difference in their greater community.

Be sure to check out more grade level features in the weeks ahead to see what our students are learning through service at St. Thomas!
